Our History

Guided by their faith in God, Pastors Samuel and Debbie Sorinmade of the RCCG-Cornerstone Worship Center in Melrose, Massachusetts, chose the families of Pastor Tony Ogunsanya, Tayo, and Deaconess Oyedeji to start a new parish. And on October 16, 2006, at Hilton Hotel, Dedham, Massachusetts, both Pastors Samuel and Debbie Sorinmade, and a host of brethren commissioned a new Church named Redeemed Christian Church of God-Victory House of Prayer for All Nations. A big first floor room of the Hilton Hotel was the meeting place of the new congregation for almost months six months, until God made a provision resulting in a semi-permanent place at 891 Hyde Park Avenue, Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Glory to God!
However, Pastor Tony advised the congregation of his intent to relocate his family to Houston, Texas. Consequently, his nearest assistant, Pastor Bamike Tayo, who afterwards responded that she was not ready to handle the responsibility, took over the mantle.
So concerning was this funding issue that the presiding pastor personally appealed to God to intervene. And the Almighty God responded with a faithful team of committed workers. Praise God!
During the search for a permanent building for the church, the search-team inspected several commercial properties within the vicinity. Both small, big, and giant building properties were looked at. However, our applications were always denied due to the lack of solid financial backings. In one case scenario, a landlady bluntly refused the search-team another round of inspection of her property. Why? Because, “we already inspected it once, let others have their own time,” she stated flatly.
Pastor Bamike felt unease at these unholy developments, so she went out to summon a higher authority in order to bring in an urgently needed assist. That a new congregation of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for All Nations began to experience some financial constraints soon after inception was no surprise to Pastor Samuel Sorinmade, who had seen it all in his time. His recommendation was swift and immediate-personally asking a brother/bank manager within his own congregation to “share our burden”. Jehovah Jireh!
Years went by as the congregation joggled between sharing office rooms with dissimilar entities, cramped spaces, and windowless compartments. There were thefts of church properties, heated arguments between occupying tenants and a few attempts to have the flock pay for frivolous service. Despite all these vain obstacles, the pastor was resolute in the word of God that says: “their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them” [Jer. 30: 20]. Eventually, God brought His church out of the basement to the mountain-top, by giving us a blessed victory house to worship His Holy Name.
As of present, this church has given births to a few other churches, with plans for additional more by the Grace of God in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
Glory be to God, indeed!
